Il Centro Trasfusionale dell’Ospedale di Borgo San Lorenzo, in particolare il personale Infermieristico e Amministrativo, e l’Autodromo hanno programmato la tradizionale "Festa per i Donatori di Sangue del Mugello". Le due importanti realtà del Mugello, che da alcuni anni collaborano per la sensibilizzazione alla Donazione di Sangue, assieme alle Associazioni di Donatori Volontari, hanno messo in pista anche quest’anno le loro energie per la realizzazione di questa simpatica manifestazione. All’iniziativa, come sempre, hanno dato il patrocinio numerose istituzioni del Mugello, dai Comuni di Borgo e Scarperia, alla Società della salute, alla Unione dei Comuni Montani e interverranno numerose Autorità civili e militari e molti testimonials e società sportive (Polisportiva Mugello 88, Borghigiana F.C., Pallamano Mugello, Mugello Sexy Runners, Rugby Mugello).
Si comincerà alle 10.00 con visite guidate ad alcune strutture dell’Autodromo e con la magnifica esibizione dei Bandierai e Musici di Castel San Barnaba che avverrà intorno e in mezzo alle magnifiche Auto d’epoca in esposizione dei club “Svarvolati Mugellani” e “Club Italia 500”.
Nel Circuito di riferimento in Italia per le competizioni sportive di moto e di auto (siamo in casa Ferrari), oltre alla Donazione di Sangue, si parlerà dei primi risultati di una prestigiosa iniziativa coordinata dall’Università Tor Vergata di Roma. Il Mugello è stato identificato come punto di riferimento per una ricerca genetica internazionale sulle popolazioni: l’intervento della Dott.ssa Della Valle che ha condotto personalmente la ricerca facendone l’argomento della propria Tesi di Laurea, chiarirà gli scopi e illustrerà i primi risultati. Tramite il supporto dell’AVIS e del Centro trasfusionale dell’Ospedale di Borgo san Lorenzo la ricerca è stata l’occasione per sensibilizzare maggiormente la popolazione mugellana alla donazione di sangue.
Pur con qualche cenno alle attività del Servizio Trasfusionale dell’Ospedale di Borgo San Lorenzo illustrate dal Responsabile del Centro, Dott. Franco Vocioni, l’occasione vuole essere di pura festa e di ringraziamento ai Donatori, veri punti di riferimento per senso civico e solidarietà, e sarà intercalata dall’allegria e dal brio musicale degli “About Blues” gruppo con radici nel territorio mugellano.
La conclusione sarà con un aperitivo/buffet offerto da alcuni generosi sponsor (Codas, Soci Coop, ristorante Fattoria il Palagio), realizzato e servito dagli alunni dell’Istituto per i Servizi Alberghieri e la Ristorazione “Chino Chini” di Borgo San Lorenzo. Tra le collaborazioni che hanno reso possibile la giornata va senz’altro citata quella con il Centro di Socializzazione del Mugello che offrirà un piccolo gadget ai Donatori di Sangue e metterà a disposizione per chi voglia acquistarli piccoli oggetti realizzati dai ragazzi diversamente abili del Centro. L’evento è aperto a chiunque voglia partecipare e avvicinarsi in modo piacevole alla donazione di sangue, sarà infatti possibile anche prenotare un prelievo per conoscere il proprio gruppo sanguigno

The work at Correntaio's turn are terminated , in accordance with the schedule. This has been further increased the space of the run off area of one of the most spectacular turn of Mugello Circuit . The changes, requested at the Italian Grand Prix in 2013 by the FIM safety Franco Unicini, have already been tested and promoted by drivers in the12 H - Italy Mugello , the international car endurance that the Tuscan circuit has hosted in recent days, as well as by riders present at Mugello on the occasion of the stage for young talents organized by the Italian Motorcycle Federation. The expansion of Correntaio run off area is just the latest of the interventions in terms of safety, the management of Mugello has promoted and implemented in recent years to make this fascinating route always safer.

The first Dunlop 12H ITALY-MUGELLO ended with a dramatic victory by the No. 7 AF Corse Ferrari driven by Felipe Barreiros, Ilya Melnikov, and the father and son duo Aliaksandr Talkanitsa, Junior and Senior. While it may be appropriate for a Ferrari to win in Italy, the Italian based team earned the win through a taut battle with the Stadler Motorsport Porsche that had led for much of the day. The dice at the end was the culmination of a long comeback drive by the Ferrari and the last three hours featured a thrilling duel between the two leaders. The AF Corse team had to consistently lap quicker as well as match the fuel efficiency of the Porsche 997 GT3 R driven by Adrian Amstutz, Mark Ineichen, and Marcel Matter.The F458 Italia GT3 started Step 2, Saturday’s 9 hour segment, with a disadvantage. They had problems very early on Friday and because the lap totals are aggregated they had a small mountain to climb today. With fast laps and perfect pit work they did indeed claw forward to contest for the victory.The Porsche ran with metronomic efficiency but inexorably the Ferrari caught back up to them. The pivotal moment came during each team’s final pit stop. The Stadler team was the first to make the final call and elected to take on fresh tires. This handed the lead to the Ferrari which managed to retain the lead thanks to taking on fuel only when it stopped with only 13 minutes left in the race. Talkanitsa, Sr. started the last stint some 18 seconds in the lead but was now on worn tires. Amstutz in the Porsche was able to chop about one second per lap off the margin but then the AF Corse crew urged their driver on with arms waving and a sign that read “push”. The encouragement worked and the gap grew ever so slightly in the closing minutes.Three other cars featured in the fight for the top. The No. 1 Hofor Racing Mercedes led at the end of Step 1 and carried that advantage well into the morning of Step 2. The greater fuel consumption of the big V8 motor put them a tempo behind their Porsche competitors. Then they suffered a puncture early during a lap, requiring a long slow journey back to the pits and much time lost. They finished third.
The biggest heartbreak was suffered by the No. 3 Fach Auto Tech Porsche. They were constantly nipping at the heels of both the Stadler and Hofor entries and moved ahead during pit stop exchanges. However, a massive loss of oil caused the car’s retirement.
Another Ferrari featured strongly in the race. Scuderia Praha’s F458 had problems similar to AF Corse during the first three hour segment. They too were able to work back through the field. Thanks in part to young Czech star Dennis Waszek’s fastest lap of the race, the team finished fourth overall. Another Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG finished fifth. The No. 2 Car Collection entry had a roller coaster of a race—running well at times, interspersed with long bouts in the pits. The best of the 997 class runners was next. The Ruffier Racing team of Gabriel Abergel, Paul Lafargue, and Patrice Lafargue were just able to hold off a late race charge by the similar Porsche of GDL Racing. The class was led for much of the race by the No. 11 Las Moras Team Renault Megane Trophy until its radiator was holed by a stone kicked up while avoiding another car’s action.The SP3 class battle was fought mostly between several GT4 spec Ginettas. The Italian based Nova Racing team pleased their local followers by winning the class with Luis Scarpaccio, Maurizio Copetti, and Luca Magnoni in the winning No. 67 entry. They had a long fight with the No. 63 Speedworks Motorsport Ginetta until the English entry was delayed with a broken driveshaft.
An almost perfect run by the BMW E46 M3 GTR of RTR Projects handed the A5 class victory to drivers Michal Vitek, Tomas Miniberger, and Sirgei Paulavets. The Volkswagen Golf of KPM Racing not only won the D1 class but drivers Tom Onslow-Cole, Javier Morcillo, James Walker, and Paul White managed to bring the little diesel powered car all the way up to 12th overall. Fredrik Lestrup, Franjo Kovac, and Martin Tschornia also had a flawless day and drove the Besaplast Racing Team Mini Cooper S to victory in A2.
The Las Moras and Fach Auto Tech teams were rare in having to retire. While numerous cars had minor problems, there was remarkably little attrition. There was only a short 10-minute Code 60 neutralization required to retrieve a car stranded in a bad location. There was near unanimous praise by teams and drivers for the challenges of the race, the excellent organisation, and the interesting, scenic, and technical circuit. All are looking for more exciting inter-marque battles in the forthcoming 24 Hour series races and the expectation that in 2015 we will see the second Dunlop 12 hours of Mugello.

This year the 24H SERIES will make a stop at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello in Italy for the first time. The inaugural Dunlop 12H ITALY-MUGELLO will be held on March 14 and 15 with over 40 teams announcing their participation
 The fascinating circuit in Mugello in the rolling hills of Tuscany is a state-of-the-art facility with a length of 5.245 km, plenty of undulation, challenging corners and numerous opportunities for overtaking. The circuit is property of Ferrari, who uses the circuit for Formula 1 tests. Furthermore, the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello is venue for several national and international racing events, one being the well-known MotoGP.
 The winning team of the Dunlop 24H Dubai 2014, Stadler Motorsport competing with their Porsche 911 GT3 R, and Hofor Racing the winners of the 24H BARCELONA 2013, running a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, have already announced their participation at the Dunlop 12H ITALY-MUGELLO. Moreover, the usual touring car categories provide plenty of variety with teams running BMW, SEAT, Volkswagen, Renault, Mazda and Mini. Furthermore, eight different teams in the Porsche Cup category are on the entry list. Of course, Italian sport cars like the Ferrari 458 GT3 and the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 will be competing in Mugello as well.
Also the Italian racing teams MM Motorsport with their Seat Leon TDI Berlina, and NOVA Race, who will compete with three Ginetta G50’s, have subscribed for participating at the Dunlop 12H ITALY-MUGELLO.
 rack action starts on Friday, March 14, with free practice from 9.30 till 10.45 hrs and qualifying from 11.00 till 12.30 hrs. The first part of the race will be held on Friday from 14.00 till 17.00 hrs, after which parc fermé rules apply. The race resumes on Saturday, March 15, at 9.30 hrs and continues until 18.30 hrs, immediately followed by the prize-giving ceremony. Grande il successo per la seconda edizione del Duathlon Mugello Circuit, prima prova del Circuito nazionale disputata sabato 1 marzo all’Autodromo del Mugello. Oltre 700 i partecipanti nelle categorie spint, maschile e femminile, e supersprint. Presenti molti dei più forti atleti a livello nazionale e non solo. La gara si è disputata su 1 giro di corsa, 4 giri di bici, 1/2 giro di corsa.  Il primo start di giornata è stata per la gara femminile, conclusasi allo sprint. Prima posizione per la slovena Simic Mateya, partecipante alle Olimpiadi di Londra 2012,  con il tempo di 1:04:59. Ad un secondo Sara Dossena Trisport.it Team A.S.D. (1:05:00) ed al terzo  Charlotte Bonin, Gruppo sportivo Fiamme Azzurre (con il tempo di 1:05:03). Alle 12,30 ha preso il via la gara maschile con un gruppetto di entità variabile che ha tenuto la testa della gara per tutta la sua durata. Solo nella parte finale un terzetto di atleti ha preso un po' di vantaggio arrivando a disputarsi la vittoria in volata, come era accaduto peraltro anche per le donne.  A spuntarla Dario Chitti (CUS Parma) in 56:56; piazza d'onore per Daniel Hofer (C.S. Carabinieri) con 56:57 e terzo posto a  Massimo Da Ponti (C.S. Carabinieri) in 56.58. Anche Paolo Poli, amministratore delegato di Mugello Circuit, ha partecipato alla gara con il pettorale 61 completandola nel tempo di 1:12:57. Giada Romano (Fitri) in 33:22 e Stefano Davite (Sai Freccie Bianche) in 29.07 i vincitori della categoria Superspinrt (1/2 giro corda, 2 giri bici, 1000 metri corsa)

L'Autodromo del Mugello, continuando il suo impegno in materia di educazione stradale e rispetto delle regole, ospita domani una giornata-evento dedicata agli studenti delle ultime classi degli Istituti Medi Superiori di Firenze e provincia. Ad organizzare l'iniziativa è Automobile Club Firenze e l'obiettivo è sviluppare una cultura diffusa della sicurezza stradale. Domani saranno presenti circa 200 ragazzi dall’Istituto Calamandrei di Sesto e dal Liceo Galileo Galilei di Firenze (4 e 5 classi)
