Si è spenta la voce del Mugello.

Sembra impossibile. La notizia ci ha travolti nella notte di ieri ed è troppo stridente e dolorosa. Il nostro Giovanni Di Pillo, da sempre voce dell’Autodromo del Mugello, ci ha lasciati a soli 67 anni. Grandissimo appassionato di moto e della vita, sono ancora nitidi i ricordi delle sue brillanti interviste ai piloti in griglia e sul podio della MotoGP. Dalle scorribande in pista per la Mosquitos Way alla Formula 1 GP della Toscana. Unico. Insostituibile. Il Mugello non sarà più lo stesso senza il suo inimitabile, benaugurante “Buongiorno Mugelloooo!!!!”.

Il nostro pensiero e caloroso abbraccio va adesso alla moglie Cristina e ai molti amici che con lui - come noi - hanno perso un pezzo di cuore. Ciao Giovanni!

Gruppo Peroni Race torna in pista per il Mugello Racing Weekend del 15-16 ottobre 2022. Nel corso del weekend si alterneranno sul circuito toscano le vetture di ben nove campionati, tra cui una speciale endurance della Coppa Italia Turismo ed il Mugello Historic Grand Prix valido per il Campionato Italiano Auto Storiche.

Sarà possibile seguire le gare grazie alla diretta su MS Motor TV (canale 229 di Sky) ed MS Sport (canale 402 del digitale terrestre), nonché in streaming tramite i canali Facebook e YouTube di Gruppo Peroni Race.

Programma Mugello Racing Weekend 2022

The thirtieth edition of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe crowned its champions in the penultimate round ahead of the Finali Mondiali at Imola at the end of October. Ange Barde (SF Côte d’Azur Cannes – IB FAST) won again in Race-2 after mathematically sealing the Trofeo Pirelli Am yesterday. Today, Doriane Pin (Scuderia Niki – Iron Lynx) claimed the Trofeo Pirelli title, despite John Wartique (FML – D2P) winning the race. Franz Engstler (Scuderia GT) took victory and the 2022 Coppa Shell title, while Alexander Nussbaumer (Gohm Motorsport - Herter Racing) did likewise in the Am.

In the third round of the APAC, Yudai Uchida (Rosso Scuderia) triumphed in the Trofeo Pirelli Am, Kazuyuki Yamaguchi (Cornes Osaka) in the Coppa Shell and Baby Kei (Cornes Osaka) in the Coppa Shell Am.

Trofeo Pirelli Europe. Doriane Pin was crowned 2022 champion in front of teammate Michelle Gatting, whose name precedes hers in Ferrari Challenge Europe roll of honour. The young Scuderia Niki – Iron Lynx driver’s third place in Race-2 concluded an extraordinary debut season. She amassed eight wins and ten pole positions, the last in Race-2 at Mugello. However, the Frenchwoman was anticipated at the start by Thomas Neubauer (Charles Pozzi - Courage) and John Wartique, who made an excellent sprint to try and keep the championship battle alive. After the entry of two Safety Cars, the first for Nicolò Rosi (Kessel Racing) in the Am class, who went off the track but with no damage, and the second for Eliseo Donno (CDP - Best Lap), who did likewise, Pin tried to attack her compatriot. However, she eventually had to settle for third place behind Neubauer in second and the winner John Wartique, who also set the fastest lap of 1’51’’423.

In Am class Ange Barde celebrated his fifth Ferrari Challenge title with another victory. He was joined on the podium by an excellent Alessandro Cozzi (Formula Racing), now fourth in the standings, and Nigel Schoonderwoerd (Scuderia FMA), who set off from pole thanks to a morning qualifying time of 1’51’’606. Barde also took the bonus point for the fastest lap of 1’54’’075.

Trofeo Pirelli standings. John Wartique climbed to 37 points behind newly crowned champion Doriane Pin. His victory repelled the onslaught of Luka Nurmi (Formula Racing), 62 points behind in third. Behind Barde in the standings, Italian Marco Pulcini (Al Tayer Motors) was unable to start today after a crash in Race-1. He is 17 points ahead of Swiss Nicolò Rosi.

Coppa Shell. With his sixth win of the season, plus the seventh fastest lap and third pole position earned today at the Tuscan circuit, Franz Engstler was crowned the 2022 series champion on his Ferrari Challenge debut. The German crossed the finish line first under the Safety Car, after a harmless collision between Ash Patel (Kessel Racing) and Giuseppe Ramelli (Rossocorsa – Pellin Racing) a few minutes from the end. This followed an initial one between Am class drivers Joakim Olander (Scuderia Autoropa) and Christian Herdt-Wipper (Saggio München). The new German champion celebrated ahead of Race-1 winner Ernst Kirchmayr (Baron Motorsport) and Roman Ziemian (FML – D2P), who produced an excellent performance after a challenging morning qualifying session. He made up seven positions from the starting grid.

In the Am, with Herdt-Wipper his closest pursuer out of the picture, Alexander Nussbaumer, who started from pole and posted the fastest lap of 1’55’’080, mathematically sealed the championship with victory in the weekend’s second race. Second place at the Scarperia circuit went to the returning Henrik Kamstrup (Formula Racing), while Andreas König (Scuderia GT) was third.

Coppa Shell Standings. Engstler is on 166 points, 47 points ahead of Axel Sartingen (Lueg Sportivo – Herter Racing), 56 points in front of Roman Ziemian and with 72 point advantage over Manuela Gostner (CDP – MP Racing), who will compete at Imola for the final podium. In the Am class, only two points separate Christian Herdt-Wipper in second from Martinus Richter (MERTEL Motorsport Racing), third, both behind Nussbaumer.

Ferrari Challenge APAC. The Trofeo Pirelli Am winner’s laurels went to Yudai Uchida, starting from pole ahead of his teammate Nobuhiro Imada. Uchida maintains a four-point lead in the overall standings. In the Coppa Shell, Kazuyuki Yamaguchi had a clear run with a win and the fastest lap in qualifying and the race. He pulled away in the standings from Cornes Osaka’s partner Kanji Yagura, now second. The Coppa Shell Am saw a repeat of yesterday’s podium with Shigeru Kamiue (European Version) and David Dicker (Continental Cars Auckland) behind Baby Kei, and Kamiue taking advantage of the concurrent absences in Tuscany of Andrew Moon (FMK) and Ryuichi Kunihiro (M Auto) in the title race.

Next round. All eyes are now on the Finali Mondiali at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola from 25 to 31 October, which will also host the last two rounds of the European series.

The penultimate round of the European series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli kicks off this weekend at the Mugello Circuit. The competition remains wide open in all the classes in the run-up to what promises to be a thrill-packed showdown between the title contenders. The European championship will feature a 46-strong field of 488 Challenge Evo cars, with a further nine entries in the APAC series for the third leg of the season in Tuscany.

Trofeo Pirelli. French driver Doriane Pin (Scuderia Niki – Iron Lynx) arrives in Scarperia with 161 points in the overall standings, the result of eight wins, with four on the spin in the two most recent rounds at Hockenheim and Silverstone, plus eight pole positions and 10 fastest laps. John Wartique (FML – D2P), 39 points behind, and Luka Nurmi (Formula Racing) on 54 and still mathematically in contention, will try to put an end to her charge towards the season title.

In the Am class, another French driver is just a step away from from the title. Seasoned driver Ange Barde (SF Côte d'Azur Cannes - IB FAST) was unable to celebrate the victory at Silverstone due to a luckless second round and the simultaneous win of an indomitable Marco Pulcini (Al Tayer Motors). The two contenders, now 56 points apart, are the only ones still in the running for the championship, but there will be no shortage of thrilling rivalry between all the participants involved.

Coppa Shell. Franz Engstler (Scuderia GT), making his debut in the series this year, leads the standings on 138 points, thanks to a run of improving performances and winning the last four races in a row. Behind him, Axel Sartingen (Lueg Sportivo – Herter Racing), 35 points adrift, will try to stage a comeback, while the Polish driver Roman Ziemian (FML – D2P), third on 99, is determined to get into the battle with the German challengers. Not yet out of the title race is Manuela Gostner (CDP – MP Racing), fourth on 83 points.

The competition is even more open in the Am class, with leader of the standings Alexander Nussbaumer (Gohm Motorsport – Herter Racing) just 17 points ahead of Christian Herdt-Wipper (Saggio München) and 21 clear of Martinus Richter (MERTEL Motorsport Racing), winner of Race-2 at Silverstone in September. Twenty-six points separate Joakim Olander (Scuderia Autoropa), fourth, from the top of the table, while Andrea König (Scuderia GT) is still in the running on 44.

APAC. A Rosso Scuderia duel is underway at the top of the Trofeo Pirelli Am standings, which currently sees Yudai Uchida leading Nobuhiro Imada by just two points.
Equally tight is the Coppa Shell battle between Kanji Yagura (Cornes Osaka), three points ahead of Kazuyuki Yamaguchi (Cornes Osaka). In the Am series, Shigeru Kamiue (European Version) lies fourth just three points behind the leader and will try to capitalise on the absence of current leader Andrew Moon (FMK) and Ryuichi Kunihiro (M Auto) in a bid to clinch the leadership.

Programme. The first timed practice of the Coppa Shell is scheduled for Saturday at 9 a.m., while Race-1 will get underway at 2.20 pm. The Trofeo Pirelli, which will also feature drivers from the APAC series on the track, starts with qualifying at 12 p.m., with Race 1 kicking off at 3.30 p.m. Identical times are scheduled for Sunday. In Italy, Saturday's races will be broadcast on SkySport Formula 1 from 2.15 p.m. and 3.25 p.m.; the two scheduled practices will take place on Sunday at the same times.

But the story does not end with the sporting side. Culture, history, traditions, food and wine are essential elements of the event, further enriched by quality and attention to detail that’s typical of Canossa’s style.

Nel weekend Round Pata sul circuito toscano, Pirro in cerca di un titolo storico. CIV sempre più internazionale con Okubo nella Ng e Lanuza in Ss300. Ampia la visibilità delle gare, live su FedermotoTV. Tra gli eventi, il Meet me in Motorcycle della Commissione femminile FMI.

Si torna al Mugello. Dopo l'appuntamento di giugno, nel fine settimana la pista toscana ospiterà il Round Pata del CIV 2022, per un Campionato sempre più internazionale vista la presenza del giapponese Hikari Okubo nella Ng e dello statunitense Daniel Lanuza nella Ss300. Tra gli eventi, spazio al Meet me in Motorcycle, l'appuntamento organizzato dalla Commissione femminile FMI e riservato alle donne, per le quali sono previsti corsi di guida e la possibilità di vivere da vicino tutte le emozioni del CIV. Round Pata che godrà di ampia visibilità grazie a FedermotoTV, la nuova piattaforma Ott FMI che trasmetterà tutte le gare del CIV.

In Sbk Michele Pirro andrà a caccia di un risultato storico. Il pilota Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati avrà l'occasione di conquistare già al Mugello il titolo 2022, il nono per lui, risultato che gli consentirebbe di scavalcare Ubbiali e Villa (fermi a otto) dal terzo gradino del podio dei piloti più vincenti di sempre all'italiano (clicca qui per l’albo d’oro). Toccherà ancora ad Alessandro Delbianco provare a fermare la cavalcata trionfale del rivale, vincitore di sette gare di fila. Il pilota Aprilia Nuova M2 Racing, distante 56 lunghezze da Pirro, è reduce dal doppio podio di Misano, round in cui ha battagliato a lungo con il tester Ducati. Occhio anche a Luca Vitali (Scuderia Improve - Firenze MotorHonda) e Randy Krummenacher (Yamaha Keope Motor Team), entrambi a podio nelle ultime due gare.

In Moto3, con il leader della generale Nicola Carraro volato al mondiale in sostituzione dell’infortunato Matteo Bertelle, la lotta per il titolo è appannaggio dei suoi inseguitori, a cominciare da Cesare Tiezzi (AC Racing Team BeOn). Il Pata Talento Azzurro FMI è quello con più punti, 123, e al Mugello cercherà di tornare sui livelli di inizio stagione, dove nelle prima quattro gare aveva conquistato una vittoria e tre podi. Ad inseguire ci saranno Alberto Ferrandez Baneite (Gp Project 2 WP Factory Racing 2WheelsPoliTo) e Biagio Miceli (Gresini Racing), distanti rispettivamente 10 e 11 lunghezze da Tiezzi.

Nella Ng proseguirà il testa a testa tra Massimo Roccoli (Promo Driver Organization Yamaha) e Roberto Mercandelli (Team Rosso e Nero Yamaha), con il pluricampione italiano leader in classifica grazie a otto punti di vantaggio su "Merca", reduce dalla doppietta ottenuta a Misano. Tanti gli avversari pronti ad inserirsi nella battaglia per le posizioni di vertice, a cominciare da Nicholas Spinelli (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati), distaccato di 11 lunghezze da Roccoli e autore di due secondi posti nell'ultimo round. Da segnalare la presenza come wild card del giapponese Hikari Okubo (Kawasaki, Rm Racing Protan Engine), con esperienze nel Mondiale Supersport e in quello MotoE. Nella 600CIV Marco Bussolotti è sempre più vicino al suo primo titolo italiano. Il pilota Axon-Seven Team Yamaha si presenterà al Mugello forte di 41 punti di vantaggio sul suo diretto rivale: Kevin Zannoni (Team Rosso e Nero Yamaha). A lui il compito di provare a fermare Bussolotti.

Lotta a due in Premoto3, con Leonardo Zanni e Giulio Pugliese, entrambi AC Racing Team Brevo, che proseguiranno a battagliare per la vittoria anche sulla pista toscana. Il primo è leader in classifica generale con 137 punti, il secondo insegue a 16 lunghezze. Più distaccato il primo degli inseguitori: a meno 50 punti c'è Edoardo Liguori (Pasini Racing Team 2WheelsPoliTo).

In Ss300 si ripartirà dal nuovo leader in classifica, Leonardo Carnevali. Il pilota Box Pedercini Corse Kawasaki, grazie alle buone prestazioni di Misano e all'assenza del rivale Matteo Vannucci sulla pista romagnola, si presenterà al Mugello con 15 punti di vantaggio sul campione in carica. Il circuito toscano è però la pista di casa per il pilota AG Motorsport Italia Yamaha, sulla quale il numero 91 ha già vinto quest'anno. Senza dimenticare la recente vittoria di Vannucci nel mondiale di categoria. Occhio anche ad Emanuele Vocino (Prodina Racing Kawasaki), lontano 22 punti da Carnevali. Da segnalare la presenza di Daniel Lanuza (Usa), in arrivo dal Motoamerica. 

Eventi - Il Mugello ospiterà il Meet me in Motorcycle. Dedicato alle donne e organizzato dalla Commissione Femminile FMI, l’evento prevede al sabato un corso di guida, mentre la domenica spazio alla CIV Experience, con tutte le partecipanti che potranno vivere il paddock, il dietro le quinte delle gare dell’italiano e del round finale della Women’s European Cup.

Il Mugello sarà anche l’occasione per premiare i campioni del futuro, i giovanissimi piloti italiani trionfatori all’Europeo Minimoto 2022. Ad inizio agosto infatti gli azzurrini hanno vinto in tutte le classi dell’Europeo corso ad Assen. Alessandro Souchet, Mattia Giraldi, Luca Rizzi e Leonardo Lapadula (di soli 8, 9, 10 e 11 anni) hanno conquistando i titoli continentali rispettivamente nelle categorie Junior A, Junior B, Junior C e Open 50. Non solo primi posti però. Nelle suddette categorie i podi sono stati composti tutti da piloti italiani, per un totale di 12 giovanissimi azzurri nelle posizioni di vertice. Protagonisti che riceveranno un riconoscimento durante la premiazione delle Motosprint Pole Position.

RADIO TOSCANA, regala due ingressi all'autodromo del Mugello per paddock + tribuna centrale per vedere tutte le gare del CIV. Da lunedì 12 a venerdì 16 settembre partecipa ai giochi organizzati dalla Radio per ottenere i biglietti che permetteranno di accedere al circuito per tutto il weekend. Rimani all'ascolto, perché ogni momento potrà essere quello giusto per giocare e vincere. 

Motosprint pole position - Anche nel 2022 le pole position CIV saranno “targate” Motosprint. I poleman di ogni round CIV riceveranno infatti il premio Motosprint Pole Position, con i giornalisti della rivista a premiare i piloti più veloci. Pole position che saranno quindi titolate Motosprint, con l’aggiunta di un nuovo appuntamento fisso. Subito dopo le premiazioni infatti, sulla pagina facebook del settimanale ci saranno interviste live con i poleman, condotte dagli inviati in circuito.

Una grande novità per l'appuntamento del CIV al Mugello: la crossoover. Tra le moto iscritte alla gara del Mugello della Metzeler CIV Crossover Cup by Motosprint, anche due BMW R 1250 GS allestite da Nova Moto, concessionaria BMW Motorrad di Firenze.

Segnatevi la data: il 17-18 settembre si correrà la tappa unica del primo storico Trofeo dedicato alle Crossover, le regine di vendita del mercato italiano. Cornice dell'evento firmato CIV, Metzeler e Motosprint, sarà il tracciato toscano, che nello stesso fine settimana vedrà in azione anche le cinque classi del CIV, impegnate nel penultimo appuntamento della stagione.

Il programma di gare
Due le gare in programma: il sabato, una doppia speciale off-road, cronometrata, su un facile percorso fettucciato, esterno alla curva del Correntaio. E la domenica, una sfida in pista da otto giri tra le curve e i cordoli tricolori che rendono speciale il Mugello, preceduta da un turno di qualifiche da 20 minuti. Il vincitore dell'evento sarà decretato dalla somma dei risultati delle due prove e a essere premiati saranno il vincitore assoluto e i vincitori delle singole gare on e off-road.
